Bro Tunes Special Edition: Doug Bogan Mashups

As always, I'm going to be completely honest, I've never been big into the mashup scene.  But I've got to admit, these mixes are legit.  Over the past year and a half, Doug Bogan has established himself as a prominent mashup artist in the college music scene.  Fraternity parties have been turning into high-intensity shows spanning the northeast.  Among the shows were opening spots for artists such as Sam Adams, Chris Webby, Napalm, and The Dean's List, just to name a few.

Performing nearly every weekend for the past year, Bogan is no stranger to working his ass off to get noticed.   Last weekend he performed with The Dean's List at Bucknell, and is in the process of finalizing a concert in NYC with artists 5 & a Dime, Kap Slap, Brenton Duvall, and Greg Golterman.

Below I've posted a few of Bogan's tunes I'm high on, Free Fallin' Forever, The Gifted Zone, and Like This All Star.  I want to give Mr. Bogan a ton of credit with the Free Fallin' Forever mashup.  I've heard so many people try to touch Tom Petty's tune and butcher the hell out of it, now I finally have a modern version of the great song I actually enjoy listening to.  The Gifted Zone is his newest release, and how could I not post it with the much anticipated KiD CuDi concert approaching quickly?  Finally, there's no way I couldn't include Like This All Star, a mashup featuring Smash Mouth's All Star which in my mind helps define most of my generation's childhood.  Among my other personal favorites are Thirsty, and Doug Bogan Vol. 1 & II.

Find more Doug Bogan on his Facebook FanPage, and on SoundCloud.  Bogan is open to any, and all potential performance opportunities.  To get information/check availability for future shows, contact Ryan Gardner at DougBoganMgmt@gmail.com.  Enjoy the Tunes Bros.

Bamboozle 2011? I'm In.

Is it just me, or does this look like the illest shit to do this spring if don't feel like spending 2 grand to go to Cancun?  Lil Wayne, Motley Crue, Wiz Khalifa, Bruno Mars, Sam Adams, Nicki Minaj, Waka Flocka Flame, Chiddy Bang, Dashboard Confessional are some of the many current locks to perform, and the list keeps fuckin' growing.  Upstate, we have Grassroots, I understand how much fun people have at it, how many drugs that are ready to be used there.  But it can run you up to $110 if you buy at the gate, I've never been so I can't speak for how awesome it might be.  But I know $109 to go to Bamboozle 2011, and bringing my own drugs of choice sure beats the hell out of the G-Roots "talent".  I'm psyched, and ready to roll.  In 2013 we're all going to be dead anyway, fuck it.  Is anyone else ready to get wasted to Weezy performing "Wasted" live?  Tickets on sale now.

Bro Tunes: Demps Edition

Massachusetts soon may have another rap talent to rival Sammy Adams, aka "Boston's Boy".  New England's newest breakthrough artist is known as Demps.  His first mixtape, Campus Dead Beat, can be found buzzin' all over the Internet, or more specifically at this link on DatPiff who sponsored the beats.  However, Demps just got his new single "I Got it" featured on iTunes.  If you like what you're hearing, buy and download a copy of the song directly from his fresh new site at http://thisisdemps.com/ in the store section.  Catch him early and spread the word, Demps will be seeing the green in the near future, and you're lucky you can say that you were a part of it.
