Bro Tunes: Cam Meekins Edition

Over the past few months, rapper Cam Meekins has been making his mark in the music world through both his free downloads online, and performing as an opening act for Chris Webby.  The high schooler has been rapping since 6th grade, and the practice is proving to pay off.  Cam has already released three mixtapes, the first of which was self-produced, proving his commitment to the game.  As a promising talent under the broad wing of the well-recognized Matty Trump, the possibilities are endless for this young artist.  Find Cam's beats for free on DatPiff, Youtube, and make sure to follow him on Facebook.  To name just a few, some of my personal favorites include "Just Like You" (above), "My Baby",  and "Never Givin In".  Check it out Bros.

The Queen is Feeling the Heat

The 63rd game of the long NBA regular season has past, and the Miami Heat still have not found a way to win when it counts.  Following the game, Head Coach Erik Spoelstra announced in his postgame interview that there were "a couple of guys crying in the locker room."  Right now everything is working against "El Heat".

This helps prove that Erik Spoelstra should not be the Head Coach for a team with so many superstars.  Yes it is true that the Heat are shooting 5% in late-game situations, and one can't blame Spoelstra for that.  However, that doesn't mean it is a good idea to announce that tears are being shed in the locker room just because he is frustrated that his team is not clutch.  Spoelstra continued on, trying to clean up the mess he created by stating how important the regular season is the the players, and that's why they were crying.  If the Heat cannot handle the pressure of the regular season, how will the pressure of the NBA Playoffs be tolerated?

Lebron James proved during his years in Cleveland that he cannot make the final shot.  Aside from a bomb that he launched against the Orlando Magic 2 years ago to seal a game, I can't remember any other.  Although he is considered arguably the best player in the league, he is not the most important player on his team.  The Miami Heat are still Dwayne Wade's team, and though Wade did take one of the two final missed shot in the latest choke episode versus the Chicago Bulls, the ball is not in his hands enough during late-game situations.  Dwayne Wade has a ring, he knows how to win the big games, so why not trust Miami's top man with the ball at the end of a game?

This was not a game 7, Finals loss that everyone sacrificed through pain to win, this is just another game that the Heat could not finish in the middle of the regular season.  It may not be until Pat Riley resurrects his coaching career that the Heat can come close to achieving champion status unless Erik Spoelstra learns how to manage and implement changes to his current under-manned, failing team.  After all the hype, a championship is the only thing that will label the new-look Heat as a success. 

As the year continues to take it's toll on the emotionally drained Heat, it's not only crunch-time for the players to make big shots down the stretch, but also for Erik Spoelstra to prove himself as a worthy adversary to Queen Lebron's realm by controlling the pieces on his team.  The question is, can the Miami Heat ride out the storm of the regular season, and pull the pieces together for the NBA Playoffs?

Final Episode of The Office Leaked?

In honor of this being a Thursday, also known as the day that The Office is on NBC at 9 PM, The BroCave brings you a special find.  Lesson; do not piss off John Krasinski.  Fellow blogger Jason Brandonman, a disgruntled former employee of The Office who claims he was fired for a "smoothie incident" with Krasinski has posted a copy of the what is said to be the actual script of Michael Scott's final episode.  Initially I swore to myself as a true fan of The Office, that I would not cheat by reading the script before the episode was aired, but I couldn't resist the urge. 

If you follow the show religiously, you know that it isn't any surprise when insanity ensues on the show, which is what makes the show great, and that's why it has already been on television for 7 seasons.  The leaked script was surprising in many ways, but I'm actually proud to say I called it for one part of the story, which I won't specifically talk about on here just in case you choose not to read it.  But this is probably the most obnoxious episode ever.

More and more often it seems like The Office has just been stalling with senseless episodes that don't really connect with each other, but there is one aspect of the story that does connect, the Holly-Michael relationship.  I know I'm teasing, but if you have better self discipline than I do, you won't read the potential script.  However, if you do decide to read it, I guarantee your mind will be blown.  Expect the unexpected.

Even after reading it multiple times, I'm still not sure if the script is real of fake, but either way it is VERY entertaining. You'll see from the comments left by readers on Brandonman's blog post that there are reasons to question the authenticity.  Waiting for the final episode of the season will prove to be the only true answer to whether the script is authentic or not.  With NBC seeming to stall by playing repeat episodes instead of new ones, the answer may come later rather than sooner.  Let's just hope there are more seasons to come, with or without Michael Scott as branch manager.

Bro Tunes: The Dean's List Edition

The Drive In

Now I found these guys by accident, but shit am I glad i found them! It was just another day I was bored in my dorm listening to literally every song I could find.  I clicked on their mixtape expecting to hear nothing but another "wanna be" rap group. But I was pleasantly surprised. As of today, they have the #1 mixtape on hotnewhiphop and these guys absolutely live up to it. The Dean's List  definitely have a ton of potential and they will be big in the future. There was not a single track on the mixtape that I didn't like. The Dean's List is fire and I can't wait to hear more from them soon! You will not be disappointed with this edition of Bro Tunes.

Are You Kidding Me Bro?

So I realize that this video was originally posted on World Star Hip Hop, then Barstool before I got to it, but I don't really care.  If you didn't see it on Stool , now you're going to see it here.  When I read the post I knew it was going to be a crazy video, but nothing like the havoc this driver causes.

I think it's safe to say this is a Bro behind the wheel, most likely pissed off that he has to wait behind a bunch of spandex-bearing bikers.  Women don't necessarily get in these kind of angry driving accidents, they are usually involved in accidents that fault their driving too carefully/lack of common sense.  If not, the only excuse I can think of is that this was your typical Asian driver.  If you've ever driven through Ithaca's collegetown you know exactly what I'm talking about, madness.

In a town laden with foreign cars, and people from the same place as their vehicle, it's no place to bike.  Of course this didn't happen in Ithaca, I'm just warning not to walk/bike near the street in I-town or you may end up like the 30-40 victims in this video.  Prepare to be shocked.

Screen Junkies - There's finally a release of The Hangover Part II teaser trailer, and tease it does.  Besides the "Wolfpack" walking, there isn't much to see here besides Ed Helms sporting a Mike Tyson-like face tattoo, and the movie taking place in Thailand.  It will be a must-see come Memorial Day.
