BroTunes: IanJ
This bro from Louisville, KY has released two mixtapes so far, both co-sponsored by G.M.A.D. & FratMusic. The name is kind of bland, but the music ain't, and that's what really matters. In IanJ's past two mixtapes (Summer Lights, and LikeIanJ) successful songs have been taken to the next level of entertainment through smooth flow and sensible lyrics. I've been caught up in "Hello", and "What Do You Want (Que Veux Tu)" from the Summer Lights mixtape. Check out the feel good rap-pop hybrid and show your support on Facebook.

Bro Tunes: Millz
In this edition of Bro Tunes, we have Shamar Dozier, aka Millz. This PA young gun began rapping for kicks before the beginning of his Junior year of high school, and now at the age of only 17, he's beginning to take it seriously. Millz pumps out as many as 5 songs per day, using his own equipment (laptop and mic), and will finally be getting into a professional studio this summer.
Meanwhile, he's fresh off a release of his most recent mixtape, "Chapter 4: Highschool Sweetheart", which was released yesterday. Check his beats on YouTube or HotNewHipHop, and support Millz with a Like on Facebook. Coming soon to an iPod near you: Millz.

Bro Tunes: The Cave Boys
Is this, or is this not, a match made in heaven? In this edition of Bro Tunes, The Cave Boys meet The BroCave.
These white boys come straight out of none other than Hip-Hop USA, Keene, New Hampshire. But with all seriousness, these guys have shown a lot of promise, effort, and potential since I first started listening to them a month or so ago. In return for their hard work, they were recently awarded "Best College Rappers" by The Campus Socialite.
Check out three favorite songs by the Cave Boy Crew, Life's Good, Change the World, and Learn to Fly (Feat. Erene Glimenakis). Find their album, "Now Boarding", sponsored on DatPiff, music videos on YouTube, and become a fan of the duo on Facebook.
Natural, distinctive, inspiring; these are just a few words to describe The Cave Boys. The two from UNH are just a couple of regular Cave Bros doing what they love, and you've gotta respect them, at least check them out for that.
Plus, don't forget to take a peek at up and comer Erene Glimenakis, who's featured in Learn to Fly. It's not the everyday bro listen, but she has definitely got talent.

Bro Tunes Classics: The Outfield
Unlike the usual, this post isn't about producing some awareness for some new, upcoming college rap artist. Epic 80's jam "Your Love" by The Outfield is simply one of the greatest songs of all time. A sure classic in any true Bro's collection, and a must-add if you don't have it. Get it Bros.

Bro Tunes: Mike Stud Edition
So I'm crusing the laptop, in a stall, looking for the next edition of Bro Tunes and BOOM, Mike Stud. This bro is spitting straight fire. I'm wondering, how haven't I heard him yet? But the real question is, how haven't you heard him yet?
Thanks to the internet & Mike Stud, I'm sharing a pair of songs with you in this post, only the first two songs of his that I've listened to. It's just that good. There are so many things that I like about Stud's tunage; the beats, rhymes, references, you name it. The best thing is, he isn't your everyday college musician pushing the hell out of his music, the All-American Duke baseball player, and Georgetown grad student lets the music speak for itself.
Check out Mike Stud, "The Smarter Type of Fresh" at his soundcloud page, Youtube, and MikeStudMusic.com

Bro Tunes: Cam Meekins Edition
Over the past few months, rapper Cam Meekins has been making his mark in the music world through both his free downloads online, and performing as an opening act for Chris Webby. The high schooler has been rapping since 6th grade, and the practice is proving to pay off. Cam has already released three mixtapes, the first of which was self-produced, proving his commitment to the game. As a promising talent under the broad wing of the well-recognized Matty Trump, the possibilities are endless for this young artist. Find Cam's beats for free on DatPiff, Youtube, and make sure to follow him on Facebook. To name just a few, some of my personal favorites include "Just Like You" (above), "My Baby", and "Never Givin In". Check it out Bros.

BroTunes: Lupe Edition
Lately the BroCave has been on the underground shit. But this time we're gonna go mainstream with Lupe Fiasco. I've loved this guy way back from the "Kick Push" and "Daydreamin'" days...unfortunately he faded from the spotlight for a little but man is he back! With this song, along with "Show Goes On" and "Words I Never Said" Lupe is heading to the top of the music industry. Everyday I wait for a new song to leak off of his Lasers album. The album releases early next month and I guarantee that within the first week he has the #1 selling album. I know its early to predict, but I wouldnt be surprised if the guy wins album of the year at the Grammy's. Lupe continues to spit straight fire! With great beats, great feature artists and meaningful lyrics, Lupe is at the top of the hip-hop game. This guy is the real shit!

Bro Tunes: Donnis Edition
Donnis is an up and coming guy in the underground rap world. While this song was released a couple months ago, this song is on most of my playlists. Such a chill song. This guy has so much potential and hopefully Atlantic Records can take this guy to the top. He just released another song called "Me and My Boo." Check this shit out, I promise you won't be disappointed. It's an instant download without a doubt. Keep your eyes open for this guy in the future because he could be big. Especially if he keeps coming out with tracks like this.

Bro Tunes: Hoodie Allen Edition
Bros, I introduce to you, Hoodie Allen. He's at the point in his career where he has a solid following in his region, but hasn't yet reached his full potential of being heard by much of the United States. The first time I heard a few of his songs, including these first two, I honestly wasn't quite sure what I thought. But as the shuffle on my recently added playlist kept playing Hoodie Allen, his songs have gotten burned deep in my head, and my friends that hear me play Hoodie.
For the first time, I'm going to add more than one song to a Bro Tunes post, just because I like this artist that much, and I can't decide which track is my favorite. His music can be found for free on DatPiff, his YouTube channel, or directly on his website. So here are the three songs, "You Are Not a Robot", "Dreams Up", and "Swimming With Sharks" (a remix of a "Shark in the Water", by VV Brown, a very catchy tune), enjoy. Join the Hoodie Allen movement today.

Bro Tunes: The Script Edition
Another pretty good tune here that was recommended as a Bro Tune, by possibly the new head of The Bro Cave's music posts. I've always been a B.o.B fan, and was supposed to see him live at Oneonta before those plans fell through. So that was a bummer, but I might make the trip to Geneseo with a few Bros to check out their spring concert of Ke$ha, B.o.B, and KiD CuDi. I'm beginning to think Cortland doesn't have anyone close to match that trio at our fellow SUNY school. Oh well. Check out The Script, a solid newish band on youtube, iTunes, or here at hotnewhiphop. Their most well-known song is "Breakeven", one that I'm not a huge fan of, but "Walk Away" featuring B.o.B makes up for it by adding a new dynamic to the pop artist's song.

Bro Tunes: Andy Grammer Edition
Also, if you take the time to look into Grammer a little bit more you'll find he has an array of songs on Youtube such as "The Pocket". His music is honest, catchy, and has a bit of a Maroon 5 feel to it. "Keep Your Head Up" is just the first big release by Andy Grammer, and it wouldn't surprise me if he became a household name soon. He's a bit more well known than the last featured Bro Tune, Demps, and a completely different genre.
But, The BroCave is aiming for diversity. If you missed last week's edition of Bro Tunes, make sure to check out Demps' new single on iTunes called "I Got It", and mixtape on DatPiff. Keep you heads up, and enjoy the music Bros.
